There are not that many schools that offer a program that's designed like ours, the part-time/hybrid program is four years. If folks have, what employment obligations, family obligations, this gives them the opportunity to pursue their dream of becoming a lawyer.
Also, a very nice thing about the part-time/hybrid program is that the courses are asynchronous, meaning that you do it on your own time schedule, you don't have to log in at a certain time.
It is a lot of work, not trying to minimize that. But it's structured. So the in person components are around long weekends of intensive instruction about two a semester.
And then of course, the last year is completely online.
It's been a real joy teaching these students to me. The feedback that I get from the students is that they really like LMU. They like their faculty and staff, they really believe that we care about them. And that we prioritize them.
We really try to open up opportunities for the part-time/hybrid students to have opportunities, for example, Law Review and clubs and that sort of thing because we want the whole law school experience to be available to the students.
The part-time/hybrid students really seem to have formed a close bond and a close community even though they are not physically in the same place every week.
