Every application that's submitted to LMU Law is considered for a scholarship opportunity. The vast majority, almost 100% actually received some type of scholarship, typically merit-based.
When I was deciding between three different schools, the opportunity to go to a school where they were gonna give me a scholarship and kind of take that financial burden off my shoulders was really a huge factor. And really one of the biggest reasons why I came to LMU and it's made my process through going through school so much easier because I don't have to worry about financial burdens as much as some other law students probably do.
For the full-time program, for students who earn a minimum grade point average, you have the opportunity to apply to graduate a semester early. So that'd be graduating in two and a half years as opposed to three years. Also, we have the opportunity here after your first year and or after your second year. If you hit a minimum GPA, you can apply for additional scholarship money.
The opportunity to get a scholarship has helped me to focus on other things while I've been in law school and to participate in some of the groups that if I hadn't had a scholarship, I probably would not have been as active in having a scholarship has allowed me to focus on school fully and not have to worry about getting an additional income through a job while I've been in school. And it's helped me to be able to participate in travel team programs so that I can, you know, further my career, and also just be a better student and hopefully better advocate one day.
