At LMU Law, we recognize that many of our students come with an entrepreneurial spirit. And so we offer several courses within our curriculum that allow them to develop the knowledge and skills that they need to run their law firm or their practice in the way that they want to run it by combining different practice areas, and running a law firm as a successful business.
So I've always had a particular interest in the business side of law coming into law school, I had no idea how I'd even really incorporate business in law. But luckily LMU Law actually offers a dual degree program, and I'm actually part of that program, getting my Master's of Business Administration. And so I'll be able to graduate with both degrees. And I'm really grateful for that.
If you are someone who wants to have your own practice, or start your own firm, or if you want to use the skills that you get in law school, in your current job, or to start a new business or a new venture that this is a law school where you're really going to build those skills we have a law office management class is an elective, sometimes taught by full time faculty, also often taught by adjunct faculty who are solo practitioners themselves. They can really speak to the business of law and what all is involved with running the practice as well as practicing law.
